INSPECTION SOFTWARE

FROM FIELD INSPECTION TO ACTIONABLE ASSET INTELLIGENCE

Aurion’s inspection software brings drone and field-inspection results into one organized workflow—helping asset owners and O&M teams visualize defects, prioritize findings, document corrective work and maintain a clearer asset history.

INSPECTION DATA WITH A PURPOSE

ONE INSPECTION RECORD
A CLEARER PATH TO ACTION

Renewable-energy inspections can produce large volumes of images, measurements, observations and supporting documents. When that information is spread across folders, spreadsheets and disconnected reports, important findings are harder to prioritize and follow through.

Aurion’s inspection software structures inspection evidence around the relevant site, asset and issue. It creates a traceable connection between what was inspected, what was found, what action was recommended and what work was completed.

01

CAPTURE & ORGANIZE INSPECTION DATA

Bring inspection information into a consistent, asset-based record for easier review and future reference.

Capabilities:

- Drone-based infrared thermal inspection results
- Electroluminescence inspection results, where included in scope
- Visual imagery and field observations
- Glass, module and structural findings
- GPS-tagged site, array, module, equipment or component references where supported
- Inspection dates, methods and supporting documentation
- Repeat-inspection records
- Module-level digital records where configured

02

VISUALIZE & CLASSIFY DEFECTS

Turn inspection findings into structured issues that technical and operating teams can understand and prioritize.

Capabilities:

- Defect imagery and supporting evidence
- Finding type and affected asset
- Severity or priority classification
- Thermal anomalies and hotspots
- AI-assisted defect classification for approved inspection workflows
- Cracks, micro-cracks and structural observations where detectable by the selected method
- Degradation indicators identified through the applicable inspection process
- Technical notes and recommended next steps

03

PRIORITIZE FINDINGS & CORRECTIVE ACTIONS

Help teams move from inspection results to a practical response plan.

Capabilities:

- Prioritized finding lists
- Recommended inspection follow-up
- Corrective-action status
- Assignment or ownership information where configured
- Maintenance and repair records
- Supporting photographs and completion notes
- Open, in-progress and resolved issue visibility

04

TECHNICAL REPORTING & DOCUMENTATION

Create a clearer record for technical review, maintenance planning, project closeout and stakeholder communication.

Capabilities:

- Inspection summaries
- Finding-level technical detail
- Asset and portfolio reports
- Corrective-action documentation
- Before-and-after verification records
- Warranty-supporting evidence where applicable
- Custom PDF or spreadsheet outputs where supported
- QA/QC, handover or claim-support reporting according to scope

05

BUILD ASSET HISTORY & PORTFOLIO INTELLIGENCE

Repeated inspections become more useful when findings and completed actions can be reviewed over time.

Capabilities:

- Inspection history by site or asset
- Recurring and unresolved issue visibility
- Comparison between inspection cycles
- Cross-site or portfolio summaries
- Multi-site portfolio management where configured
- Evidence for maintenance and replacement planning
- Warranty and lifecycle decision support
- Verification after corrective work
- API connection to approved SCADA or CMMS environments where supported

DESIGNED TO SUPPORT MULTIPLE INSPECTION WORKFLOWS

The software and service should present only the inspection methods included in Aurion’s approved scope and available for the relevant asset, site conditions and project stage.

INFRARED THERMAL INSPECTION

Use daytime thermal and RGB capture to document applicable hotspots, bypass-diode issues, substring/module/string failures, shading or soiling patterns, visible damage and thermal anomalies associated with connectors or junction boxes.

ELECTROLUMINESCENCE INSPECTION

Use the applicable EL process to document cell-level micro-cracks, dark cells, broken grids, soldering defects, bypass-diode failures and indicators associated with PID or UVID that may be invisible to conventional thermal inspection.

VISUAL & STRUCTURAL REVIEW

Record visible module, glass, mounting, wiring, connector, junction-box or structural observations identified during drone or field inspection.

FIELD TESTING & DIAGNOSTICS

Connect approved field observations, measurements and technical documentation—including IV or flash-test correlation where included—with the affected asset or issue.

Connected inspection workflow

Inspection software creates the most value when it supports a complete operational workflow. Aurion can connect inspection information with technical review, O&M planning, corrective work and verification according to the project scope.

FULL-LIFECYCLE QUALITY CONTROL

VERIFY ASSET CONDITION AT EVERY CRITICAL HANDOVER

Inspection records are most valuable when they begin before operation and continue through the life of the asset. Aurion can structure an inspection and documentation program around the project’s quality, acceptance, operating, warranty and insurance requirements.

01

PRE-SHIPMENT FACTORY VERIFICATION

Use approved visual, EL, IV or flash-test review to identify applicable manufacturing defects and establish evidence before modules leave the supply chain.

02

PORT-ARRIVAL INSPECTION

Document visible or detectable shipping and handling damage before equipment is formally accepted or transported onward.

03

SITE-DELIVERY VALIDATION

Create an inspection record at delivery or during installation to distinguish transport, handling, racking or installation-related damage.

04

PRE-COD & POST-COMMISSIONING BASELINE

Establish an as-built IR, EL and/or visual inspection baseline for project acceptance, handover, lender, insurer, manufacturer and future O&M comparison.

05

YEAR-ONE & RECURRING O&M

Conduct scheduled inspection to track defect progression, compare inspection cycles, prioritize maintenance and support warranty action before relevant deadlines.

06

TARGETED DIAGNOSTICS

Investigate an operating issue, suspected defect or performance concern using the inspection method appropriate to the suspected failure mode.

07

POST-EVENT & INSURANCE DOCUMENTATION

Document hail, storm, mechanical or other event-related damage using traceable inspection evidence that may support technical assessment and insurance discussions.

08

POST-MAINTENANCE VERIFICATION

Record completed corrective work and conduct follow-up inspection where required to confirm whether the identified issue has been addressed.

FROM EVIDENCE TO RESOLUTION

INSPECTION DATA THAT SUPPORTS TECHNICAL AND COMMERCIAL ACTION

Inspection findings may need to support more than maintenance. Aurion can help organize the technical evidence required for quality review, project handover, warranty discussions, insurance documentation and longer-term asset planning, subject to the agreed scope.

Capabilities:

- Independent technical review
- Design and installation validation support
- QA/QC and handover documentation
- Manufacturer-claim evidence preparation
- EL, IR and visual defect documentation
- Factory or supplier coordination where included
- Investor and lender technical-review support
- Testing and documentation support
- Performance and maintenance recommendations
